Odie Delaney to make ONE Championship debut at “Bad Blood”
Undefeated at 2-0 as a professional mixed martial artist, “The Witness” Odie Delaney will take his first overseas fight when he makes his ONE Championship debut in Singapore at “Bad Blood” on February 11.
The 32-year-old wrestler turned MMA fighter will meet Thomas Narmo (4-1) in a heavyweight affair inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
While competing in wrestling in high school, Delaney would eventually earn a scholarship to The Citadel, a Military Academy in South Carolina.
“While competing as a Division 1 wrestler for The Citadel, Delaney was grateful to attain four Southern Conference championships and ultimately became a Division I All-American,” a report from Shanw Bitter of Cageside Press states. “After graduation, he was honored as the epitome of The Citadel’s ‘Odie Delaney Most Determined Award’, and most recently was inducted into The Citadel Athletic Hall of Fame.”
After going 2-0 as an amateur in MMA in 2019, Delaney turned pro where he picked up two more victories that same year. The heavyweight fighter did not compete in 2020 or 2021 but look to see if cage rust truly is a factor next week in Singapore.
