ONE Championship Rankings Update (November 4th, 2021)

ONE Championship has seen some huge happenings transpire in the MMA and ONE Super Series ranks alike. This is your ONE Championship Rankings Update as of November 4th, 2021.

Some featherweight kickboxing movement has taken place since the kickoff of that division’s grand prix at ONE: First Strike.

Marat Grigorian moves up one spot and assumes the number one contender spot in the division. This coming after his October 15th win over kickboxing and shoot boxing legend Andy Souwer via TKO stoppage in the second stanza.

In the event’s main event, Giorgio Petrosyan descends one rung lower after losing his world championship to Superbon. In perhaps the knockout of the year when considering all the variables.

Chingiz Allazov, who was previously not in the top five, asserts himself to a number four ranking. This after bulldozing Samy Sana, former ONE grand prix finalist, in a sub-forty second stoppage inside Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Tayfun Ozcan drops one spot from his prior placement at number four after losing to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong via split decision. This edges Ozcan out of the tournament field but the talented pugilist still maintains a foothold in the top five.

ONE: Next Gen was another event that saw an international grand prix shake up a divisional hierarchy.

Stamp Fairtex advanced one spot in the rankings to take over the number two spot at atomweight. Speaking of advancing, Stamp will next test skills against number four ranked Ritu Phogat in the finals of the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix.

Phogat bested Jenelyn Olsim via unanimous decision in her October 29th semi-final fight to maintain her spot in the rankings.

Seo Hee Ham dropped one spot to number three inexplicably. This as Denice Zamboanga, who last lost to Ham, sits at number one in the weight category.

A rematch between Ham and Zamboanga seems to be trending towards ONE X; a card that was initially slated for December 5th but now there is uncertainty surrounding the new anniversary show date.
