ONE Championship’s Chatri Sityodtong – “Our champions would steamroll Bellator guys”
A very bold statement has been issued by ONE Championship’s frontman Chatri Sityodtong.
Sityodtong and ONE officials held ONE on Prime Video 4 from Singapore over the weekend while their United States based competitors in Bellator held Bellator 288.
Sityodtong, was asked about the head-to-head competition with his U.S. counterpart, following the conclusion of his event.
“I mean, look at viewership numbers, the social media metrics, look at organic video views, anything,” Sityodtong told South China Morning Post. “Bellator is like five percent that of ONE. Even competition-wise, our champions would steamroll Bellator guys.
ONE Championship is known for boasting their broadcast and social media metrics, often concluding that they lead the UFC in global rankings.
“The only co-promotion I’m interested in is UFC,” Sityodtong concluded. “Champion versus champion.”
Bellator will be co-promoting event with another Asia-based organization in RIZIN Fighting Federation on New Year’s Eve.
