A first-round fence grab from Mayra Bueno Silva led to a majority draw against Montana De La Rosa at UFC Fight Night 186 on Saturday, Feb. 27.
Bueno Silva landed the heavier strikes forcing De La Rosa too wrestle aggressively. De La Rosa shot in for her second takedown of round one when Bueno Silva grabbed the cage to prevent herself from going to the mat. The referee immediately deducted a point from Bueno Silva.
The point deduction cost her late as two judges scored the bout 28-28 for a majority draw.

Halfway through the main card, women’s flyweights Montana De La Rosa faces Mayra Bueno Silva.
De La Rose is 1-2 in her last two appearances. She most recently dropped a unanimous decision loss to Viviane Araujo at UFC Fight Night 176 in September.
De La Rosa was slated to take on Taila Santos UFC Vegas 16 this past December, but someone in her camp tested positive for COVID-19.
A season 26 cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter, the 26-year-old is 4-2 inside the octagon with three submission wins.
Bueno Silva is 2-1 inside the octagon after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2018. She most recently submitted Mara Borella in the first round at UFC Fight Night 178 last September.
Her only UFC defeat is a unanimous decision loss to Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 170 in March 2020. She tapped out Gillian Robertson with a first-round arm bar in her UFC debut back in September 2018.
