Paddy Pimblett on Ilia Topuria: "Everyone wants to fight me"

Paddy Pimblett expects to fight in Vegas in December, reveals he’s around 200lbs

Paddy Pimblett is enjoying his time off but believes he will return to the Octagon in Las Vegas in December.

After Pimblett beat Jordan Leavitt, he was vocal in saying that was likely his last fight in London for quite some time. He thinks he will be fighting on pay-per-views for the foreseeable future but for now, Pimblett is enjoying his time off and says he is around 200lbs now.

Although gaining this much weight is not something many fighters do, Pimblett says once he starts fighting top-ranked opponent he will keep his weight down between fights.

“I’m about 200 (pounds). I don’t know (if it’s normal). You could say that, you could not say that, Pimblett said at UFC San Diego... “When I’m a little older and I start fighting ranked opponents, I will keep my weight down, but for now, I enjoy putting on a little chub rub on.”

Although Paddy Pimblett is enjoying the time off, he says he’s hoping to get on the December 10 card pay-per-view card in Vegas.

“I think I’m going to fight in Vegas,” Pimblett said. “That’s what I’m hoping. I’ve seen the card get slated for December 10.”

If Pimblett does return on December 10, it’s uncertain who he would fight. He is 3-0 in the UFC, and has had several fighters call him out but for Pimblett, he says he doesn’t care who he fights and won’t be calling anyone out.

“Everyone wants to fight me, lad,” Pimblett said. “They all got less than 100,000 followers, and I’m at 1.8 million or something. That’s why they want to fight me. I’m also not a very scary dude. I don’t look that intimidating, lad. So people think, ‘Oh, I can beat him.’ And when you get in the cage with me, and you’ve got to solve the puzzle, you can’t.”
