Patrick “The Brick” Brady will be inducted into the Art of War Cage Fighting Hall of Fame on September 15, part of the promotion’s next card, AOW 31, which will be held at Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Brady, 39, is currently rehabbing a knee injury he sustained in a bout while competing for the 1-million grand prize in the Professional Fighters League heavyweight tournament. Brady told MyMMANews that he will undergo surgery in September to repair the damaged ACL.
The loss to Jordan Heiderman at PFL 5 in June was Brady’s first professional mixed martial arts defeat and the first since his amateur debut in 2018.
Brady’s pro MMA record now sits at 5-1 with four of those fights taking place under the AOW banner.
Prior to making the leap to the pros, Brady went 4-1-1 as an amateur and fought five times for AOW. In all, Brady fought nine times for promoter Mike Bickings, making him one of Art of War’s most tenured stars.
Brady joins his Martinez BJJ coach Will Martinez and UFC fighters Andre Petroski and Joe Pyfer in the AOW Hall.
AOW 31 will be headlined by a pro featherweight bout between Ryan Kim Cafaro and Brady’s Martinez BJJ teammate Matt Turnbull.
