Paulo Costa elbow injury and infection photos revealed
You may have already heard that Paulo Costa (14-2) was forced out of his upcoming UFC 294 bout against Khamzat Chimaev (12-0).
The number six ranked middleweight “Borrachinha” was forced to remove himself from the contest in Abu Dhabi against the undefeated rising star as it was discovered that Costa has elbow surgery just weeks ago.
Upon the revelation that the Brazilian was on the mend, it too was revealed that the surgically repaired limb was also infected.
Today Costa posted photos of the injury and infection’s aftermath along with a video explaining what happened.

As a result of Costa’s withdrawal, he was replaced by former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman who will move up to middleweight for the fight against Chimaev.
