Pettis, (18-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) defeated Gilbert Melendez via guillotine choke in December after being out of the cage for more than a year due to injury and a gig as a coach opposite Melendez on season 20 of the Ultimate Fighter.

The 27-year-old Roufusport fighter and former WEC champ submitted then-champ Benson Henderson to win the title in his bout prior to Melendez.

Dos Anjos, (23-7 MMA, 12-5 UFC) defeated Nate Diaz via unanimous decision one week after Pettis earned his win.

Pettis is ranked number in the lightweight division and number five pound-for-pound.  Dos Anjos is currently ranked number three in the lightweight division.

Pettis vs. Dos Anjos will take place March 14 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on pay-per-view.  The fight will headline UFC 185.  Preliminary bouts for the card will air on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

No other fights for UFC 185 have been announced as of yet.
