Pre-fight medicals determine Eidy Macias is pregnant, BRAVE CF 73 fight cancelled
Undefeated Ecuadorian mixed martial artist Eidy Macias (5-0) will not be fighting tomorrow at BRAVE CF in Bogota, Colombia.
BRAVE Combat Federation has been notified of an alteration to Macias’ pre-fight exams and she has been forced to pull out of her scheduled fight against Yasmeli Araque, which was supposed to kick off BRAVE CF 73’s main card tomorrow evening.
However, the organization was pleased to announce that 24-year-old Eidy Macias’ exam alterations are good news: the BRAVE CF strawweight fighter is expecting her first child! Throughout the week, she completed all her pre-fight exams successfully, but after weighing in, one last test was administered, which came out positive, with a blood test subsequently confirming Macias is indeed expecting.
BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid has confirmed Eidy Macias will receive her show money and has sent his sincere wishes of congratulations to the new addition to the Macias family.
In the main event, two BRAVE CF superstars will collide when USA’s Jose “Shorty” Torres meets South Africa’s Nkosi ‘The Future’ Ndebele for the Bantamweight Championship. The co-main event will deliver an exciting Flyweight fight as Zach Makovsky and Flavio Queiroz throw down to help shape the 125-pound division and chase contender status.
