Professional Fighters League yields highest online audience ever to included WSOF days

PFL: FIGHT NIGHT YEILDS LARGEST ONLINE AUDIENCE EVER FOR PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE

LIVE ONLINE STREAMS OF THE FOUR-BOUT CARD TOTALED 238K UNIQUE VIEWS DESPITE GOING UP AGAINST THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, NBA AND NHL

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) achieved its highest online audience ever in the five-year history of the PFL and its predecessor WSOF, totaling 238,000 unique streams across multiple online and social platforms for their Nov. 2 event. The four-fight card — which included Blagoy Ivanov vs. Caio Alencar in the main event and Lance Palmer vs. Steven Siler in the co-main — was the featured entertainment at this year’s Fight Night, a nearly 30-year-old charity gala benefiting Fight For Children’s work on behalf of underserved youth in Washington, DC.

Historically an evening centered around boxing, mixed martial arts took center stage for the first time at the charity event held at the Washington Hilton and attended by nearly two thousand of the most prominent business people, community leaders, elected officials, media figures, and philanthropists in the Nation’s Capital.

Ivanov was victorious in a unanimous decision over previously once-beaten Alencar, extending his win streak to five. Palmer earned a unanimous decision over Siler as well, deploying his signature wrestling style and a number of submission maneuvers that were too much for Siler to overcome. All four fights were streamed live on ProfessionalFightersLeague.com, the KISWE app, Facebook Live, YouTube, Periscope, via the FITE TV app and on the Hangtime app.

“Fight Night featured four dynamic MMA matchups that electrified the room and brought the PFL a historic online audience,” said Carlos Silva, President of the Professional Fighters League. “Both Blagoy Ivanov and Lance Palmer showed why they are so highly regarded with hard-fought wins over tough opponents. We can’t wait to see them in next year’s championship season as we look toward the official launch of the world’s only true MMA league in 2018.”

Silva added, “We remain committed to providing MMA fans an outstanding product that is easily available where and how they want it. Fight Night was a small preview of what’s to come and judging by the overwhelming response both at the event and online, new and veteran MMA fans alike have a lot to look forward to.”
