Karate Combat 37: Rafael Aghayev vs. Raymond Daniels
With welterweight champion Josh Quayhagen out for some time after his six-round war with Luiz Rocha at Karate Combat 35, the Karate Combat brass thought an interim title was in line. Matching Daniels and Aghayev up is one of the best fights they can make with their current roster and it’s surely going to be high flying action and some of the best karate a fan can dream of.
Going into Karate Combat 37, Rafael Aghayev has been perfect. At 3-0 he’s put on some electrifying performances. His first fight was a win over Donicio Gustavo. He returned finally after a few years off to Karate Combat and notched a win over Zsolt Habda. In his last fight, Aghayev defeated rival Davy Dona. Aghayev as one of the top, of not the top, karateka in the world with five world championships and an Olympic silver medal.
Raymond Daniels is one of the most electrifying standup fighters the world has ever seen. High flying and spinning, Daniels has produced some of the most viral knockouts ever. He made his Karate Combat debut at KC35 where he took a decision over Franklin Mina.
Ultimately the winner at Karate Combat 37 will take on Joshua Quayhagen. But with the gravity behind this fight, this will for sure not be the last time they fight. Buckle up, kids, this one’s a slobber knocker.
