Official Result: Matesuz Gamrot def. Rafael Fiziev via TKO (injury) 2:03 of round two
Gamrot lands two good right hands in round one as Fiziev is switching stances, and is also landing good leg kicks early on. Fiziev too lands good combinations with his hands and shows incredible flexibility in his takedown defense.
Gamrot secures an early takedown to begin round two before Fiziev works his way back to his feet.
Fiziev lands a heavy right body kick and immediately falls to his back, as it appears he tore a ligament in his left knee, stopping the fight in its tracks midway through round two.
Rafael Fiziev drops his second-straight defeat, while Mateusz Gamrot improves his streak to two-straight tonight at UFC Vegas 79.
