Raufeon Stots

Raufeon Stots speaks with MyMMANews

Raufeon Stots is a professional mixed martial artist fighting out of Roufusport with a record of 12 wins and only one defeat. Raufeon just signed with Bellator MMA and just came off of the biggest win of his career back at Bellator 236.

The first question I asked Raufeon was his thoughts on the Coronavirus?

”At first I didn’t think it was much, until they started to close down a lot places. I am not overly cautious but I do have a wife and kid at home to make sure that we all stay safe.”

When making your Bellator MMA debut, what was your first initial thoughts when you got in the cage? Did you say to yourself wow I made it?

”I was like yeah I made it and this is where I’m suppose to be and let’s hit the ground running.”

Why did you sign with Bellator over the UFC?

”You know Bellator showed a lot of interest in me and I did talk to some of the matchmakers over at the UFC but they weren’t as interested as Bellator was.”

Would you like Bellator to do a Bantamweight World Grand Prix Tournament?

”Man that would be awesome and that is another reason why I signed with Bellator it’s very intriguing. I also think that the my fighting style works well with a tournament platform.”

Would you like to fight James Gallagher?

”You know I offered to fight James Gallagher when one of his fight’s fell out in Europe and going over there  and disrupting that wouldn’t have been good for him. I also offered to fight Patrick Mix, he’s another great grappler that I would like to fight.”

There’s a lot of highs and lows in MMA, what motivates you more coming off of a loss or coming off of a win?

”You know I think when I tasted defeat for the first time that really motivated for that to not happen again.”
