Rayanne dos Santos breaks arm in training, off UFC Vegas 99 card
Brazilian mixed martial artist Rayanne dos Santos (14-8) is out of her UFC Vegas 99 fight against Alice Ardelean after breaking her arm while training for the contest.
The 29-year-old strawweight competitor made the announcement in a post on Instagram.
“I was going to fight the UFC on October 19 in Las Vegas, against Alice Ardelean, But I had the unhappiness of breaking my arm in training, I still can’t believe it🥺 I feel heartbroken 💔 but God knows everything!! I’ll heal and can’t wait to go back! I’m doing medical exams and then I’ll do a live stream when I’m calmer.”

Dos Santos competed for a UFC contract in 2022 on Dana White’s Contender Series. She was not selected that night after dropping a decision to Denise Gomes. Following three consecutive wins on smaller promotions dos Santos was then awarded a UFC contract but suffered split decision losses in her first two outings.
