UFC President Dana White made the announcement yesterday and said that Tony Ferguson injured his knee but will be replaced by UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway.
It appears as if Conor McGregor has officially been 100% stripped of the belt, and Ferguson will likely lose the interim title in the process as an official champion will be named on Saturday.

With a victory, Hawaii’s Holloway will become the youngest fighter to hold two UFC titles, only the second to hold two belts simultaneously and just the fifth to achieve the feat.
The Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov fight has been booked on and off again several times already and it seems as if fate will ensure that these two competitors never face one another inside the octagon.
Saturday night’s co-main event is a rematch between UFC women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The two fought at UFC 217 in November 2017 where Rose captured the gold from the long time champion.
