REPORT: Brianna Van Buren meets Hannah Cifers at UFC Raleigh
Former Invicta FC strawweight champion Brianna Van Buren (9-2) will meet Hannah Cifers (10-3) at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 25.
The report, which has not yet been confirmed by the UFC, was first announced by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie. The fight card is expected to stream on ESPN+.
Van Buren made her UFC debut in July, defeating Livinha Renata Souza by way of unanimous decision, extending her win streak to six. She came to the UFC, taking a short notice fight after winning a one-night tournament where she defeated three women to claim the Invicta FC strawweight title just weeks prior.
After losing in her UFC debut, Cifers bounced back with two straight wins over Polyana Viana, and Jodie Esquibel.
UFC Raleigh is headlined by a heavyweight bout between former champion Junior Dos Santos and rising star Curtis Blaydes.
Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar takes on Cory Sandhagen.
