Ricardo Ramos edges Algeo with takedowns

The UFC returns to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 22 for UFC Vegas 27.  In the main event, former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt looks to inch one step closer towards another title shot as he meets Rob Font at 135-pounds.  MyMMANews.com will have all your UFC Vegas 27 results below.

In a featherweight matchup, Ricardo Ramos takes on Bill “Senior Perfecto” Algeo in the early portion of the main card. The pair were originally slated to compete last month at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker/Gastelum however, Ramos was forced to withdraw due to Covid-19.

Ramos enters this bout looking to bounce back from a first-round stoppage loss to Lerone Murphy. With an overall record of 14-3-0, the promising featherweight holds a 5-2 record inside of the Octagon with hopes to take out “Senior Perfecto” in their highly anticipated rescheduled bout.

While Bill “Senior Perfecto” Algeo is still new to the UFC, currently 1-1 inside of the octagon, he is a staple in the Philadelphia mixed martial arts scene. The striking savvy, Algeo is coming off of his first promotional win when he defeated Spike Carlyle last November in a one-sided decision with hopes to make it two in a row with a win over Ramos.
