Franklin stated his intensions weeks ago as to not shock or surprise UFC brass, and it was announced today that the former school teacher turned fighter will serve as the One Fighting Championship Vice President.
He serves as the face of the brand and travels throughout the US and Asia hosting seminars and speaking engagements, promoting fights and working with the fighters.
Prior to becoming a full-time MMA fighter, Franklin graduated from William Henry Harrison High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and later earned a master’s degree in education at the University of Cincinnati, and taught mathematics at the Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He would become one of the most popular mixed martial artists to have ever competed in the UFC’s octagon.
Congrats Rich Franklin on the new assignment.
