Earlier today, the newly formed Rizin Fighting Federation held the second of two fight cards within two days. The main fight saw the return of ‘The Last Emporer’ Fedor Emelianenko. Hype has been circulating around the former Pride champion’s return ever since the announcement was made on Spike TV during a Bellator broadcast earlier this year.
As expected, Fedor Emelianenko (35-4) made quick work of Jiadeep Singh (2-1) in his first bout in more than three years when he picked up a first-round TKO victory.
Also, Bellator light heavyweight ‘King Mo’ Muhammed Lawal’ won $300,000 for winning the Rizin FF heavyweight grand prix.
Spike TV had exclusive television rights to the event and although there was a tape delay due to the event being held at the Saitama Super Arena, the United States broadcast began at 10 a.m. EST in the States with a broadcast called “Breakfast with Fedor.”
