Rob Font previews his upcoming UFC Vegas 52 main event against Marlon “Chito” Vera
Rob Font is set to compete in his third straight main event slot when he meets Marlon “Chito” Vera in the headliner of UFC Vegas 52 on April 30.
Font did great work in first main event when beat former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt to put himself on a four-fight winning streak. However, the streak was snapped in Font’s next outing when he lost to former UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo in December.
For Font he learned so much during the course of his 25 minute contest with Aldo and he believes the experience will make him a better fighter as he feels that he fought good that night, but Aldo’s veteran experience allowed him to steal rounds.
Now Font will look to start a new winning streak and jockey himself right back into a title picture at bantmaweight when he takes on Vera at the end of the month.
Prior to the fight, Font spoke with MyMMANews about the matchup with Vera, lessons from his loss to Aldo and crediting his girlfriend for his journey into the UFC and now becoming one of the best bantamweights in the world.
