Ronda Rousey plays prison inmate in Blindspot on NBC
A report from Entertainment Weekly states that former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will guest-star in an upcoming episode of ‘Blindspot’ on NBC.
“Rousey will be playing DEVON PENBERTHY: a female prison inmate who grew up in a working-class family from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and is serving time for transporting weapons across state lines,” reads the release.
“She is a tough, athletic woman who knows how to fight and handle a weapon.”
This will be Rousey’s first role since her appearance in “Drunk History” on Comedy Central last year. Rousey plays the role of Gallus Mag, an infamous female bouncer who helped protect The Hole in the Wall bar.
She has appeared on the large screen in several films, including Entourage, Furious 7, and The Expendables 3. She also hosted Saturday Night Live and was the first UFC fighter to do so.
