From Director Matt Ogens alongside Executive Producer Ronda Rousey, comes WHY WE FIGHT, an immersive, gritty docu-series that dives into the worlds of fighters across the globe, joining them as they train and prepare for the fights in which the stakes are high, and the dangers are real. These aren’t large sanitized events.

Each episode of this immersive series dives into the underground dojos and off-grid gyms to show combat at its most raw. There may not be a belt at stake but there will be something much more important – Pride. By doing so viewers will get a never-before-seen look at these little-known fighters’ lives, see them train, and ultimately understand them in a primal, spiritual way. It’s not only about the physical skill needed to fight, but the rituals and traditions that have formed around each fighting style as the series truly embeds itself in the philosophy of each fighting culture.
