Ryan Bader is defending his Bellator light-heavyweight title for the first time since 2017, taking on Vadim Nemkov in the Bellator 244 headliner this Friday, Aug. 21.
Having not made the 205-pound mark in three years, the 37-year-old talked about what changes he’s made to his diet and training to make weight.
Bader is coming off four-straight heavyweight fights, including winning the belt by finishing Fedor Emelianenko via TKO in 35 seconds at Bellator 214 in January 2019.
During the Bellator 244 media day press conference, Bader talked about his legacy as a light-heavyweight, Jon Jones’ move to heavyweight and being more experienced than Nemkov.
Connor Northrup once covered municipal meetings and promised himself never again. He is now combining his passion for Mixed Martial Arts and reporting all into one.
