Sage Northcutt released from UFC, Dana White confirms

Sage Northcutt contract up with UFC, Dana White: “We let Sage go”

Ever since Sage Northcutt took to social media to post pictures of a trip overseas where he would visit and meet with ONE Championship officials, there has been speculation about the star’s future in the UFC.

Dana White, president of the organization, confirmed on the UFC Unfiltered podcast that “Super” Sage has not been re-signed after his contract was complete.

“We let Sage go,” White said.

Northcutt (11-2) was on a three fight win streak when the UFC let him go. He has not lost since being submitted by Mickey Gall in December 2016.

“Sage is young, and Sage needs some work. Let him get some work in some other organizations, and we will see where this kid ends up in a couple of years. Maybe we will pick him back up again.”

White added, “His contract was up so we let him go.”

Where will Sage Northcutt land?
