Said Nurmagomedov vs. Douglas Silva de Andrade added to UFC’s July 9th card
A three-round bantamweight bout between Said Nurmagomedov vs. Douglas Silva de Andrade has been added to UFC’s July 9th Fight Night card.
30-year-old Nurmagomedov (15-2-0) joined the UFC back in 2018 and has suffered only one defeat under the promotion. During his time with the UFC, he has collected victories over the likes of Justin Scoggins, Ricardo Ramos, and Mark Striegl. His last walk to the octagon came at the start of 2022, where he defeated Cody Stamann in less than a minute.

Though Nurmagomedov was hoping for a top 15 bout, he will take on Brazilian finisher Silva de Andrade next.
Silva de Andrade (28-4-0, 1 NC) made his way to the UFC in 2014 and has collected wins over Marlon Vera, Renan Barao, and Gaetano Pirrello over the last few years. In his most recent outing, he defeated Sergey Morozov via rear-naked choke at UFC 271.
The two will face off on July 9th in a bout that will likely push the winner into top 15 conversations.
