Salahdine Parnasse meets Filip Pejic in KSW 61 Co-Main Event
France’s Salahdine Parnasse (14-1-1) and Croatia’s Filip ‘Nitro’ Pejic (15-4-2) will square-off in the KSW 61 co-main event on June 5.
Former KSW featherweight champion Salahdine Parnasse (14-1-1) is back in action and ready to build himself back towards a rematch for the title starting with ‘KSW 61: To Fight or Not To Fight’ on June 5.
The 23-year-old burst onto the international scene in 2017, winning his KSW debut in impressive fashion and going on to defeat several former champions en route to capturing the KSW crown at KSW 48. He made one title defense before suffering a shock upset TKO defeat, the first loss of his career, to Brazil’s Daniel Torres at KSW 58.
However, before getting his rematch the French sensation will first need to get past the dangerous and unpredictable Filip Pejic (15-4-2). Hailing from Zagreb, the Croatian has two devastating knockouts wins in KSW, including a twelve second KO in his last outing at KSW 56. With thirteen total career wins by stoppage, Pejic has certainly earned his ‘Nitro’ moniker and will be expecting a title shot of his own should be beat Parnasse on June 5.
Five-time world’s strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski (14-7) vs. KSW 1 tournament winner Lukasz Jurkowski (17-11) will serve as the main event of the evening and KSW 61 will also see the return of the fans. Under government guidelines, the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland, will operate at a 50% capacity.
KSW 61 will be live around the world on www.KSWTV.com and the KSW App available now on iOS & Android!
