Sammy-Jo Luxton diagnosed with Cancer, PFL debut on hold
Sammy-Jo Luxton, a Muay Thai and MMA fighter hailing from Devon, England, and social media influencer, was set to make her debut with the Professional Fighters League Europe later this year.
Unfortunately, that fight and her combat sports career are now put on hold as Luxton has announced she has been diagnosed with Cancer.
“Addressing the elephant in the room💔,” she wrote.
“Just something else to add to the crazy autobiography I’ll write when I become world champion 👊🏻💓”

“You may have seen I’m not on the Paris PFL card, unfortunately I haven’t been well and got diagnosed with melanoma.”
The message continued, “”The lesions are on my feet, so unfortunately after the surgery I won’t be able to kick or grapple until healed. I am truly gutted as my whole year has been preparing for this moment; for something out of my control to take it from me.”
After appearing in a boxing bout on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather at the O2 Arena in London earlier this year, Luxton announced that she had signed with the PFL.
Best wishes and speedy recovery young lady.
