Sean Strickland vs. Krzysztof Jotko added to UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs. Prochazka
It will be a battle between talented middleweight contenders when Sean Strickland fights Krzysztof Jotko at a UFC Fight Night card on May 1.
Paradigm Sports, Strickland’s management company, announced the bout on its Twitter page. The agency added that the fight will take place in the UFC middleweight division on the May 1 card. Right now, that event is set to feature the main event between top light heavyweight contenders Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka, who is also represented by Paradigm.

Strickland (22-3) is the No. 15 ranked middleweight in the UFC. The 29-year-old American returned to the UFC last October following a two-year injury layoff after suffering devastating injuries in a motorcycle crash. However, he worked hard in his rehab and has come back to the Octagon with a vengeance. Since making his UFC comeback, Strickland has defeated Jack Marshman by decision in a “Fight of the Night” candidate and a second-round TKO win in a “Performance of the Night”-winning knockout. Strickland is 9-3 overall in the UFC, and he is currently riding a three-fight win streak.
Jotko (22-4) sits just outside of the top-15, but he has been a ranked fighter in the past. The 31-year-old Pole is 9-4 in the UFC overall and is also riding a three-fight win streak at the moment. In his last three outings, Jotko has looked good with wins over Eryk Anders, Marc-Andre Barriault, and Alen Amendovski. This has been a promising stretch for Jotko as before that he had lost three straight fights to Uriah Hall, Brad Tavares, and David Branch. He looks much better as of late and is back on track now. A win here over Strickland would get Jotko a top-15 ranking in the UFC middleweight division. It should be a fantastic matchup win or lose between two up-and-coming 185lbers.
