Shanna Young previews her fight against Stephanie Egger at UFC Vegas 38
Shanna Young will make her second walk to the UFC octagon at UFC Vegas 38 when she takes on Stephanie Egger.
Her first UFC fight came in February 2020 and Young has had a lot going on in her life from the time of her first UFC fight to now.
For starters, Young’s debut was chaotic as she had a fight in Invicta FC get canceled and then a few days later her coach called her into the gym and said she had a fight coming up that weekend in the UFC.
After a crazy debut, Young’s life changed forever. Not long after that fight, Young announced she was pregnant and gave birth to her son Raylon in November. Now when Young isn’t training, she splits time between her home and her boyfriend’s home, while taking a care of her two sons and her stepson and working.
Young definitely has a busy schedule, but on Oct. 2, she’ll have the opportunity to have all the hard work pay off as there’s nothing more that she’d like to have happen then to travel back to her home in Tennessee with her first UFC win.
Prior to the fight, Young talked with MyMMANews about her matchup with Egger and her family life. Aside from that, Young also discussed growing up as a wrestler and some of the struggles of being a wrestler in a time where women’s wrestling wasn’t well known like it is now.
