Karol Rosa out of UFC on ESPN+ 34, Sijara Eubanks now meets Julia Avila on Sept. 12
Sijara Eubanks is no longer facing Karol Rosa this weekend.
Instead, she will face Julia Avila at UFC on ESPN+ 35 on Sept 12. Eubanks was slated to fight Rosa at UFC on ESPN+ 34 this Saturday, but Rosa was forced to withdraw due to complications with her weight cut.
MMA Fighting was the first to report the announcement.
Avila was slated to fight Nicco Montano on Oct. 3, but the bout was scrapped after Montano tested positive for COVID-19.
Eubanks recently ended a two-fight skid by defeating Sarah Moras via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN+ 29 on May 13. The 35-year-old is 3-2 inside the octagon since appearing on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 26.
Vila is fresh off a first-round TKO against Gina Manzany at UFC on ESPN 10 this past June. She is on a four-fight win streak, including a unanimous-decision win against Pannie Kianzad in her UFC debut back in July 2019.
Rosa is also coming off four-straight wins, including back-to-back octagon victories over Lara Procopio and Vanessa Melo.
