Tabatha Ricci discusses her UFC Vegas 55 win over Polyana Viana
Tabatha Ricci came into her matchup with Polyana Viana at UFC Vegas 55 with a significant height and reach disadvantage, but that didn’t stop her from executing her game plan.
Ricci knew the key to victory was going to be to step forward, cut down the distance and take Viana down. Throughout her training camp she repeatedly drilled double leg downs and when fight came along all her preparation all paid off.
In the opening of the fight, Ricci was able to secure takedowns but ended up losing a close round.
In the second round, Viana was able to keep things on the feet and use her length for a decent amount of time, until Ricci flipped the round in her favor by securing two big takedowns and won the round.
Finally in the last round, it was “Baby Shark” out wrestling Viana to secure her second UFC win.
Following her win, Ricci once again spoke with MyMMANews to discuss her win, celebrating with her family and friends and the controversy of the UFC Vegas 55 main event between Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira.
