Thanksgiving Eve – Warrior Wednesday IX – Abel Valdez vs. Jonathan Martin
Thanksgiving Eve will host Warrior Wednesday IX from Crystal Gardens in Southgate, MI. The next fight of the evening will be in the WXC Heavyweight division. Fighting in that will be Abel ‘Romeo’ Valdez (0-0) against Jonathan Martin (1-0). The event will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.
Abel Valdez will not only making his WXC debut but his pro debut as well. He started doing MMA in 2012 as an amateur. He has been trying to make his pro debut since 2015 but for a variety of reasons wasn’t able to do so. Now on Warrior Wednesday IX he looks to make that walk to the WXC steel in hopes of getting his first pro win.
Jonathan Martin has been fighting in MMA since 2015. After a (5-2) run as an amateur he turned pro this year in September. In his pro debut he won via unanimous decision. Martin has not lost since 2016 as an amateur and looks to continue that streak at Warrior Wednesday IX.
