The Best TV Series you should rewatch again

There are such tv series that you want to watch from scratch in order to experience the whole range of emotions again and experience important moments with your favorite characters. These series are just as exciting as playing fantastic blackjack games online.

True Detective, 2014

There are three seasons in the series, but the first one is the most stellar and, according to critics, the most talented. Brilliant actors Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey perfectly play quarrelsome detectives with a difficult fate investigating serial murders with sexual overtones. The series is designed in the style of southern Gothic: muted colors, a slow pace of plot development and landscapes of Louisiana inflate the atmosphere no worse than the usual techniques of Hollywood thrillers. The second and third seasons could not repeat the success of the first part, although the creators invited bright Hollywood stars and tried to diversify the plot.

Chernobyl, 2019

The HBO mini-series was created with great love and respect for details, which distinguishes it from many hastily made pamphlets on Soviet and Russian reality, the creators of Chernobyl traveled around Ukraine, Russia and Belarus in search of attributes of that time: car numbers, children’s toys, clothes, everything had to be authentic. The television series recreates the events immediately after the Chernobyl accident, telling about the sacrifices made to save from the inevitable tragedy.

Morning Show, 2019

The plot tells about various forms of rivalry: female competition, feminist confrontation, the struggle of various minorities and the battle between representatives of different sexes for the steps on the career ladder. The reasons for the confrontation are standard: the desire for success, promotion and dominance in a particular field. Media personalities and idols of millions are in the spotlight. Every day they walk along thorny paths, trying to break through to the Olympus of show business. The TV host of the well-known and rated program “Morning Show”, Mitch Kessler is the star of the TV channel, but everything changes when a man is accused of sexual harassment. Not wanting to understand the dirty business, the company’s management dismisses the responsible employee, depriving him of privileges, status and salary. Soon after, the failed celebrity’s marriage also collapses.

Twin Peaks, 1990

A cult series that created an entire universe of fan clubs on the then-nascent Internet, filled with symbols, mysterious coincidences, permeated with the philosophy of director David Lynch, this masterpiece rapidly unfolds from a teenage melodrama into an investigation of a brutal murder and comes to a mystically colored unclosed finale. The following seasons can only be watched if you have fallen in love with the wonderful world of Twin Peaks and the question haunts you: “Who did kill Laura Palmer?”

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: An American Crime Story, 2018

This series is part of a large series of “American Crime Story”. It is this season that is most interesting for lovers of style and fashion, as it tells about the murder of the genius fashion designer of the 80-90s Gianni Versace. The authors studied the biography of both the killer and the victim in great detail, so the actions of the main characters are painted literally by the day. The series looks very easy, in one breath, and evokes sympathy for the killer, as well as for the victim.

Big Little Lies, 2017

At the moment, two seasons have already been released, but the first part was by far the most successful. The star cast: Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Alexander Skarsgard, Zoe Kravitz – was supposed to ensure success a priori. The series is based on a novel by an Australian writer: in a coastal Australian town, where real estate is very expensive, there is a state, but nevertheless a very prestigious school. Many wealthy people buy houses specifically in these places so that their children can study there. The school is public, so students come from different social strata. During the school year, a conflict arises: someone begins to offend a girl from a very rich family. On this basis, larger scandals flare up between children, and subsequently between parents. The series at some point develops into a detective story . The end is very unexpected, and it’s worth watching “Big Little Lies” for the sake of it.

There is also a lot of anime to watch on TV these days.
