Thiago Moises outpoints Alexander Hernandez in Las Vegas
Thiago Moises showcased his standup prowess in a unanimous decision win against Alexander Hernandez at UFC Fight Night 186 on Saturday, Feb. 27.
With six wins by submission, Moises put his striking on display by outpointing Hernandez. Moises found a home for his right hand and leg kicks.
Although Hernandez pushed the pace often, Moises consistently countered.
Moises makes it three-straight wins as he improves to 15-4, Hernandez falls to 12-4.
The heavyweight division takes center stage for the second-straight week as Jairzinho Rozenstruik meets Cyril Gane at UFC Fight Night 186 on Saturday, Feb. 27.
In the co-main event, Nikita Krylov looks to crack the top-15 of light heavyweights when he fights No. 11 Magomed Ankalaev inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Serving as the preliminary headliner is a lightweight affair between Alexander Hernandez and Thiago Moises. Hernandez is fresh off a “Performance of the Night” victory after knocking out Chris Grutetzemacher in the first round at UFC Vegas 12 this past October.
The 28-year-old is 4-2 inside the octagon since making your UFC debut in March 2018. His most recent defeat was a second-round TKO loss to Drew Dober at UFC Fight Night 171 in May.
Moises is coming off back-to-back wins over long-time UFC veterans Bobby Green and Michael Johnson. The 25-year-old is 3-2 inside the octagon.
He earned a UFC contract by finishing Gleldson Moraes Cutis on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2018.

Moises goes high with head kick, blocked by Hernandez. Both men trading here and there, staying active. Hernandez’s face showing some swelling on his under his right eye. Hernandez lands a leg kick. Moises takes a leg kick and Hernandez points at his handy work. Hernandez throws punches in volume. Hernandez ducks and counters with a left cross. Moises with another head kick and the two swing before the end of the round.
