Tim Witherspoon discusses the heavyweight division and wanting to work with Anthony Joshua
Tim Witherspoon knows heavyweight boxing very well. In the 1980s he held the WBC and WBA titles and before becoming champ he was a training partner for Muhammad Ali.
Recently Witherspoon attended Joe Maddon’s Main Event in Hazleton, PA and spoke one on one with our John Eric Poli. In the interview he gave his take on current heavyweights Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
He also added that he spends a lot of time in the United Kingdom and would like work with Joshua and be apart of his camp.
Since retiring from boxing in 2003, Witherspoon has trained fighters and now he’s looking to take his training to a new level by training fighters well into their professional careers.
