UFC Busan medical suspensions, Edgar given 180 days
UFC Busan was held on Saturday at Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea and the card featured several fighters from Korea including Chan Sung Jung, better known as The Korean Zombie.
Zombie defeated Frankie Edgar via TKO in the first round and called for a title shot afterwards. Edgar, who was planning on fighting at bantamweight in early 2020, took the fight on short notice after Brian Ortega pulled out of the fight with an undisclosed injury.
If Edgar still plans on moving down to 135 pounds he may have to wait to do so. Following Saturday’s fight the former champion was given a 180 day medical suspension. MixedMartialArts.com published the below results.
