Timothy Tyler vs. Melvis Figueroa set for PA Cage Fight in September

After a third round submission loss to Elijah Harris in his pro debut, Timothy Tyler was eager to sign a fight contract against anyone, on any promotion, at any time.

Tyler, 20, has been booked to take on Melvis Figueroa at PA Cage Fight 29 in Wilkes Barre, Pennyslvania on September 22.  PA Cage Fight officials have not yet announced the fight but MyMMANews has confirmed the bout with sources close to both fight camps.

Figueroa, 35, known as “Rubberband Man” is a jiu-jitsu specialist with a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-3. He is a BJJ black belt under Jamie Cruz who has been training alongside some of the biggest names in northern New Jersey for the better part of a decade.  Figueroa is also a highly decorated Muay Thai competitor. He spent an extensive amount of time training under legendary Muay Thai fighter Kaensak Sor Ploenjit.

After a loss to Jake Kozorosky at PA cage Fight 27 in February, Figueroa donated his entire fight purse to help a friend who is battling Cancer.

There will be a 15-year age gap between the two competitors on fight day.
