Titan FC 38 results from Miami, Florida

Steve Carl signs with Titan FCTitan Fighting Championships held Titan FC 38 tonight from beautiful Miami, Florida.

Yesterday, the organization may have done a first for professional mixed martial arts, holding their weigh-ins on a yacht while sailing around Miami, capturing all the footage for UFC Fight Pass via drones flying overhead.

The event headlined by a welterweight bout between former World Series of Fighting champion, Steve Carl, and Belal Muhammad, was held at the Miccosukee Event Center and streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

Carl (21-4) was also a competitor on the Ultimate Fighter season 21 which pitted his team of American Top Team against that of rival south Florida team, The Blackzilians.

His opponent, Belal Muhammad held a perfect 8-0 professional mixed martial arts record going into the contest.  Despite being undefeated Muhammad was still the underdog going into the contest, but there is a saying in mixed martial arts; “anything can happen.”   And happen it did, as Muhammad battered and bloodied the defeated Carl for the Titan FC welterweight championship.

Also, former UFC heavyweight Jack May (7-2) was on the card, fighting against (7-1) Chase Sherman.  May suffered a leg injury and lost as a result in the very first round.

Rising stars, Cory Tait, Peter Petties, and Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres also made appearances inside the cage, unfortunately both Petties and Tait fell via decision while Torres has his hand raised in victory.
