Titan FC 60 Headlined By Cavalcante-Manfio Grappling Matchup

As the world gets moving again, MMA promotions are starting to put together events to resume fights. Titan FC 60 is getting geared up to take place May 29th in Florida. The card was originally to take place on April 29th before the coronavirus postponed it.

The main event will be a grappling bout between Gesias Cavalcante and Raush Manfio. The bout will be three rounds at welterweight.

Fighting Through COVID-19

The COO of Titan FC, Lex McMahon, is ready to resume business as usual. The virus brought a halt to all things globally, including Titan FC. He looks forward to providing fans entertainment while restrictions begin to ease up.

“The global pandemic and resultant economic devastation brought about by the coronavirus has brought the world and specifically sports to a standstill,” McMahon said. “I’m excited that Titan FC in conjunction with our broadcast partner UFC Fight Pass will be among the very first professional sports leagues to bring live sports to a world desperate to cheer for something full of excitement and drama, human competition that is happening in real time.  Sports have always played an integral role in society.  In these unprecedented times, sports, specifically MMA will be at the forefront of entertaining the world.  Titan FC and our athletes are honored to help bring energy, passion, and joy to the world.”

McMahon continues on talking about the talent coming through on Titan FC 60. With some of the best grappling on display, he also speaks on some of the other talent as well.

“We have put together a card that includes MMA and grappling legend Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Raush Manfio, two former Titan FC Lightweight champions facing off in Combat Grappling as well as striking phenom Ramy Hamed and American Top Team’s top prospect Danny Sabatello.  While we are excited to return to competition, we have worked hard to ensure the safety of our athletes, staff, and commission officials that will be working the event.  We have worked on developing our safety plan with the Florida Boxing Commission, State, and local governments.  The key components of our plan are: 1) limited numbers in venue, 2) testing, 3) practical social distancing, & 4) emphasis on sanitation.”
