Tito Ortiz vs. Alberto ‘El Patron’ Rodriguez Results – Combate Americas

Tito Ortiz and Alberto Rodriguez are finally facing off tonight. The marquee event for Combate Americas will have each man facing one another for a piece of their own personal and professional history. Ortiz is putting his UFC belt up against Rodriguez’s WWE belt and the winner will walk away with both. While not for any official title, both men are fighting for their own personal legacy.

Both men are experienced mixed martial artists and after Friday’s weigh-ins, it would appear both men are ready to go at one another. The FITE TV pay-per-view event is stacked with familiar names from the Combate Americas roster that will lead up to the finale between Ortiz and Rodriguez.

While the fight did not last long, after a great reversal throw from the clinch by Rodriguez that would be the only strong move he did in the fight. After the throw, both men were on the ground and that is where Ortiz capitalized on Rodriguez’s cage-rust. He would stay in top position most of the time and eventually force Rodriguez to give up his back and sink in the choke for the win.
