Tom DeBlass says Muhammed Lawal ‘No King’, confident he will knock him out
Bellator recently announced the fight card for their September 5 show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and although the card is going head-to-head with the UFC who will be putting on a show just miles away but don’t expect the bigger brand to crush the competition.
Bellator MMA is putting on a fantastic fight card headlined by a rematch betwen Pat Curran and Patricio Pitbull Freire and a co-main event of Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal and New Jersey’s Tom DeBlass.
King Mo admitted he really doesn’t know anything about DeBlass saying “I don’t know much about him. I know he’s a good grappler. I think he’s from England. I dont’ know where he’s from.”
DeBlass doesn’t believe that Lawal has earned the ‘King’ status saying “God did not put us here to fear another man, therefore fear is non existent in my heart. And there is only one ‘King’, that is Jesus.”
“I respect Mo a great deal as one of the best fighter’s in the world. However, I believe in my heart I will knock him out.”
Before DeBlass stands toe-to-toe with Lawal, he will compete against Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral next weekend in a grappling super fight at the MMA World Expo at the Javits Center in New York.
