Trevin Giles vs. Bevon Lewis Live Recap

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back at it once again to stage UFC Vegas 13, which goes down later tonight (Sat., Nov. 7, 2020) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The headliner will take place in the light heavyweight division, with the returning Thiago Santos meeting veteran Glover Teixeira. The co-main will see former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski taking on Tanner Boser.

Ahead of his fight against Kevin Holland at UFC on ESPN+ 31, Giles fainted in the runway, causing the bout to be called off moments before the main card broadcast begun. Before that fight, Giles had snapped a two-fight losing streak by defeating James Krause at UFC 247 in February. It was a scary incident and Giles was sent to the hospital for further tests on his heart.

Lewis (7-2) had tons of hype on him coming off of Dana White’s Contender Series but so far he has been disappointing inside the Octagon. Lewis picked up his first UFC win at UFC on ESPN 24 this January, defeating Dequan Townsend by unanimous decision. Prior to that, Lewis, a UFC development deal signee, lost his first two UFC fights to Uriah Hall and Darren Stewart. The mixed martial artist is a powerful striker, recording 4.05 strikes landed per minute with an accuracy of 45 percent. He also absorbs more hits than Giles, producing 2.52 per minute.
