TUF 21: New Format – American Top Team vs. Blackzilians
The reality series the Ultimate Fighter has seen its up and downs. Some seasons did better than others for various reasons to include which personalities were featured and who was on the show.
Some have called it stale and after 20 seasons that the format needed to be changed. The latest season featured an all female cast at 115 pounds.
But what if you did a season comprised of fight camp vs. fight camp? How would that work out?
Earlier this year that was a rumor that the next season of the Ultimate Fighter, TUF 21 would feature competing squads from American Top Team and the Blackzilians – two camps both located in South Florida and both known for producing some of the sport’s greatest talents.
Early this morning, MMA Fight Radio co-host Jay Pagliaro confirmed the news, citing “multiple sources from both camps.” Pagliaro indicated that the show will be filmed in South Florida, with ATT co-founder/head coach Ricardo Liborio & Blackzilians head striking coach Henri Hooft as the show’s coaches.
No official announcement from the UFC has been made to confirm the news or discuss the broadcast plans whether it will air on FOX Sports 1 or UFC Fight Pass.
