Ricky Turcios

TUF 29 champion Ricky Turcios set to return in July

Per UFC News Alerts, The Ultimate Fighter Season 29 champion Ricky Turcios is set to return in July against Aiemann Zahabi.

The last time we saw “Pretty” Turcios, he battled it out with fellow TUF 29 contender Brady Hiestand, ultimately winning the bout via split decision to become the tournament champion of the season. Prior to that, he had defeated Daniel Argueta and Liudvik Sholinian on the show.

With an 11-2-0 record and on a four-fight win streak, Turcios will look to live up to the TUF champion status as he takes on Zahabi.

Zahabi (8-2-0) signed with the UFC back in 2017 and has since gone 2-2 under their banner. Following a victorious debut over Reginaldo Vieira, he lost consecutive bouts to Ricardo Ramos and Vince Morales. In his last walk to the octagon, he delivered a beautiful overhand right that put Drako Rodriguez to sleep.

The bout is to take place on July 9th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada for UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Fiziev.
