UFC 189 Embedded
Have you ever tried holding your breath underwater to see just how long you can hold out? How’d you do? UFC featherweight interim title challenger Chad Mendes did it for a remarkable 2:40 while training for his UFC 189 match up against Conor McGregor. He does so to prepare his body for over exertion and provide him with the feeling of a lack of oxygen to the muscles.
Also on this episode of UFC Embedded, McGregor gets a massage to relax his body before the biggest fight of his professional career and shows off his sword skills while Mendes and team study film of his opponent.
UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler walks the crew through his final preparations at American Top Team for his first title defense against Rory MacDonald, who talks diet and strategy for his co-headlining UFC 189 title bout.
