UFC 234 weigh-in results and video – Whittaker vs. Gastelum

UFC 234 weigh-ins take place at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. There are no early weigh-ins as the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans will serve as the official weigh-ins.  Fighters begin hitting the scales today at 7 p.m. ET.

In the main event of tomorrow night’s (Sunday local time) UFC pay-per-view, UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker defends his title against rising star and the man who coached opposite him on the Ultimate Fighter, Kelvin Gastelum.

The night’s co-main event bout is very intriguing as the surging hot knockout artist Israel Adesanya takes on a man he credits for getting him into the sport, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. UFC President Dana White has stated that the winner of this fight will get the next title shot.

There was initially an issue between the UFC and DirecTV not reaching an agreement for event distribution and White had said that the fight card will not be shown through those means.  Since then however, a one-fight deal has been struck and DirecTV will show the UFC 234 fight card.  Negotiations are still taking place as they figure out events further down the road.

The card kicks off with fights on UFC Fight Pass and then later switches over to ESPN before transitioning to the pay-per-view portion of the event.
