UFC 246 | Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone tickets sold out on first day

People are eager to see the return of Conor McGregor at UFC 246. There, the Irishman will be taking on Donald Cerrone in the main event on Jan. 18 in a welterweight bout.

It is set to be the first time McGregor fights since he lost by fourth-round submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in a highly-anticipated fight. There is no question the Irishman is still the biggest star in MMA s the event solid out quickly and Dana White says it will be a $10 million gate.

The drawing power of Conor McGregor is real as Jed I. Goodman showed the top three gates for Las Vegas and McGregor has two of the three and after UFC 246 will have three of the top-four.

Should Conor McGregor win this fight and Khabib Nurmagomedov beats Tony Ferguson, White has said he will book the rematch. So the stakes are high.

For Donald Cerrone, he is finally getting the big payday he deserves and is looking to snap his two-fight losing streak where he has lost by TKO to Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. Before that, he beat Al Iaquinta by decision and TKO’d Alex Hernandez in his return to lightweight.
