UFC 247 results: Dan Ige earns split decision, fifth straight win

On Saturday night, Feb. 8, 2020, the UFC returns to action for their second pay-per-view event of the year, which includes two world championship bouts.

UFC 247 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes. In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko defends her women’s flyweight title against Katlyn Chookagian.

In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, a featherweight showdown between Mirsad Bektic and Dan Ige will take place on the main card. Bektic is looking to get back on track after having his two-fight winning streak snapped by Josh Emmett via TKO at July’s UFC Sacramento event.

After dropping his Octagon debut to Julio Arce at UFC 220 in January 2018, Ige has won his last four fights. “Dynamite” picked up decision wins over Kevin Aguilar and Jordan Griffin, and finishes over Mike Santiago and Danny Henry as he looks to make a big leap up the featherweight divisional rankings.

Here is how the featherweight bout between Mirsad Bektic and Dan Ige went down at UFC 247, including round-by-round scoring. For full results of the event, check them out right here.
