UFC 247 results: Derrick Lewis earns decision win with final minute flurry

On Saturday night, Feb. 8, 2020, the UFC returns to action for their second pay-per-view event of the year, which includes two world championship bouts.

UFC 247 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes. In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko defends her women’s flyweight title against Katlyn Chookagian.

Kicking off the main card is a heavyweight bout between Derrick Lewis and Ilir Latifi. Lewis looks to build upon his split decision win over Blagoy Ivanov at UFC 244 in November as he competes in his home city of Houston.

Latifi makes his UFC heavyweight debut on Saturday night in hopes of picking up his first win in over two years. Most recently, “The Sledgehammer” suffered back-to-back losses to Corey Anderson and Volkan Oezdemir before moving up a weight class.
