UFC 283 medical suspensions: Jamahal Hill among 11 fighters suspended 6-months
The UFC 283 medical suspensions have been revealed and Jamahal Hill is one of 11 fighters to get a lengthy sit.
In the main event of UFC 283, the vacant light heavyweight title was up for grabs as Jamahal Hill took on Glover Teixeira. Heading into the fight, Hill was the slight favorite but the American dominated the fight on the feet from start to finish as he was the faster striker and landed the heavier shots. Yet, Teixeira was still able to land some shots and left Hill with a cut below his eye, and both men were suspended for six months.
In the co-main event of UFC 283, Brandon Moreno became the UFC’s new flyweight champion with a doctor stoppage win over Deiveson Figueiredo. Moreno was able to use takedowns to control the fight and then landed a punch that hit Figueiredo’s eye and it shut it close, leaving the Brazilian to also be suspended for six months.
Other notable suspensions were Lauren Murphy, Paul Craig, Ihor Potieria, Melquizael Costa, Cody Stamann, Nicolas Dalby, Warlley Alves, and Josiane Nunes were all suspended for six months.
